Our Story, Our Team

Nourish 282 began in 2014 as a grassroots outreach project by co-founders Julie Pierce and Sara McGrath. Julie and Sara saw a need for warm winter outerwear and organized donations from their community to set up the first ever Free Store. Visit our About page to learn more about how it all began, how Nourish is serving today, and the team that keeps everything running smoothly.

Testimonials

"I loved the program. Being a family w/one income, this helped relieve some of the financial pressures while not compromising nutrition for our children. We really appreciate this program."

"It means the world... with rent going out at the end/beginning of the month, it means having a lack of food around that time. This allows for my kids to not feel the hardship."

"The Nourish Program fills the food gap. The Aldi Gift Cards provides the flexibility for the basics, bread, milk, fruit & vegetables. I can't thank the Nourish Directors and Patrons enough. Thank you."
